Cart Activity gives you a live view of every open cart in your page right now. You can see who is browsing, what they have added, and which shoppers are most likely to buy.
How to open it
- 1
Open Analytics
In the sidebar, click Analytics.
- 2
Open the Carts tab
At the top of Analytics, open the Carts tab.
- 3
Find the Recent Activity card
Scroll down to the Recent Activity card.
- 4
Click View All Activity
Click View All Activity to open the live view. The page updates on its own, so you always see the most recent state.
What you can see
- Active carts — how many open carts there are at this moment
- Total value — the combined value of every active cart
- Avg active cart value — the average value of those open carts
- Conversion probability — a rough estimate of how likely these shoppers are to complete a purchase
- Top products in carts — which items show up most across active carts right now
- Per-cart detail — click View Details on any cart to see the customer, the items, the cart value, how long they have been browsing, their page views, and their device and location
Filter the list
Use the filter dropdown to focus on a subset of carts:
- All Carts — every open cart
- High Value — carts above a set value threshold
- Likely to Convert — shoppers who show strong buying signals
- At Risk — carts that show signs of abandonment
- Returning Customers — shoppers who have bought from you before
This is a live view, not history
Cart Activity shows carts that are open right now. For carts that were abandoned and not completed, go to Orders > Abandoned Carts — that is where you can send recovery emails and track your recovery rate.
Great to check during a launch
If you send a newsletter or post on social media and traffic spikes, open Cart Activity to see in real time how many people are adding to carts. It is an immediate signal of whether your promotion is working before the orders start arriving.
Frequently asked questions
Can I contact someone who has an active cart?
Not from the activity view — you can only see their cart. If they entered an email address at checkout and do not complete the order, they will appear later in your Abandoned carts list where you can follow up.
How often does the page refresh?
The cart activity view refreshes on its own so you always see a current picture without pressing anything. You can switch it to manual, change how often it refreshes, or refresh on demand using the controls at the top of the page.
